Arnold, the official Pan-American Exposition photographer, to photograph the Root House at the corner of Delaware and North in Buffalo, now demolished. "Eastman then asked the Rochester architect J. Foster Warner to design a house like it for him. He also asked Warner to get samples of the brick, stone, and tile used at the Root house, a McKim, Mead, and White design. ... Eastman then hired the premiere New York firm McKim, Mead, andWhite to design the interior of the house."
