Exterior - Segovia Cathedral, Spain


Located in the main square of the city, the Plaza Mayor, and is dedicated to the Virgin Mary.
Last Gothic style cathedral built in Spain.
Built between 1525 and 1577.  Dome built around 1630.


Numerous crocketed (perhaps footholds for workers) pinnacles.

Top: Pediments supported by modillions.
Upper Roman (smooth shaft) Corinthian columns.
Ball topped finials.
Mutules (?) under broken cornice.
Triglyphs and guttae in lower frieze.
Roman Tuscan capitals at bottom.


Saint James the Apostle(?) If so, the walking stick is the relevant attribute.
